Indium, a soft and silvery-white metal boasting high purity and minimal impurities, serves as the primary raw material for indium foil production due to its pliability and excellent ductility.
With a low melting point of 156.61°C and a high boiling point of 2080°C, along with remarkable conductivity and softness surpassing even lead, indium offers versatile applications.
It is known for its excellent ductility, malleability, and ability to remain soft at cryogenic temperatures (below -150°C). Indium is primarily extracted from zinc and tin ores and refined to various grades
Our offerings include Indium Ingot with purity ranging from 99.995% to 99.99999%, each accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis to ensure the quality meet the standard.

Indium Metal Ingot Applications
- Indium ingots are mainly used in the production of ITO targets, this application is the main consumer area of indium ingots, it took around 70% of global indium consumption.
- The other consumer sectors are: electronic semiconductors, which accounts for 12% of global consumption, 12% in the field of solders and alloys, and 6% in the research industry.
- Because of its softe nature, it is used as a vacuum-filling material at higher temperatures or extrem low temprature.
- Cryogenic Sealing:
- Due to its ductility and malleability at very low temperatures, indium is widely used for sealing in cryogenic applications. This makes it suitable for applications requiring reliable seals at temperatures as low as -150°C.
- Soldering and Fusing:
- Indium’s ability to form alloys with low melting points (ranging from 6.5°C to 310°C) makes it ideal for soldering and fusing applications. It is commonly used in electronics for creating reliable and low-temperature solder joints.
- High-End Device Cooling:
- Indium can improve the thermal management of high-end devices by reducing operating temperatures by up to 10°C. This property is crucial for maintaining the performance and longevity of electronic components.
- Semiconductor and Photovoltaic Uses:
- Indium is a key material in the semiconductor industry. It is used in compound semiconductors like indium arsenide (InAs) and indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs), which are essential for high-speed electronics and optoelectronic applications such as lasers and LEDs.
- Additionally, indium is used in thin-film photovoltaics, acting as an absorber layer material in solar panels to enhance the conversion of sunlight into electricity.
- Transparent Conductors:
- One of the most significant applications of indium is in the form of indium tin oxide (ITO), which is used as a transparent conductive layer in flat-panel displays, touchscreens, and other electronic devices. ITO is crucial for the functionality of modern display technology
